Presidential Augusta Ambassador Lecture Series

The Presidential Augusta Ambassador Leadership Lecture Series is part of the Welcome Home Augusta Initiative.  The Initiative promotes the values and ideals of West Virginia University and engages Order of Augusta recipients with faculty, current and prospective students, and alumni by sharing knowledge and creative ideas, participating in organizations and events, and demonstrating the outstanding accomplishments of WVU graduates.

In Fall 2019, Roger G. Hanshaw, the 58th Speaker of the West Virginia House of Delegates, was the first Augustan to return to WVU to speak at a WVU College of Law event to which the public was invited.  The title of his presentation was “The Mountaineer in Public Service.”

Gregory Bowman, Dean of the College of Law; Roger G. Hanshaw, 58th Speaker of the WV House of Delegates; and Carolyn P. Atkins, Coordinator, Presidential Ambassadors Program.
