Presidential Student Ambassadors meet despite the Spring 2020 Coronavirus Sememester

PSA meets in zoom

The Spring 2020 Coronavirus semester did not keep the Presidential Student Ambassadors (Cohort 3) from participating in the PSA Leadership Lecture Series.

Emma

As part of the Welcome Home Order of Augusta Initiative at WVU, Emma Harrison (OoA 2019), spoke to the Presidential Student Ambassadors today about "Leading When It Is Difficult." A former Truman Scholar and also a Rhodes Scholar finalist, she is currently gaining experience as a paralegal in the Wisconsin State Public Defender's Office.

Trevor Kiess Speaking on zoom with members

Trevor Kiess (OoA 2018) also returned to speak about "The Mountaineer as a Leader." He highlighted lessons he learned throughout the experience.

  1. Learn to forgive.
  2. Keep working.  You never know how close you might be to “making” it.
  3. Never forget your “why.”
  4. Be flexible.
  5. Never forget where you come from.
