Michael DeFede

A Follansbee, WV native, Michael DeFede received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from West Virginia University in 2001 and his Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2004.

Michael served as Deputy Director at Lockheed Martin, Vice-President of Vencore Inc., and President and Co-Founder of Intelligent Shift LLC, a systems and software engineering and consulting firm focused on providing high-energy change agents supporting the intelligence community. The business has named a Best Place to Work by the Washington Post in 2020 and 2021. Currently, he also serves as Senior Vice President of VT Group (VTG) which acquired Intelligent Shift in 2021.
